This section is divided into four gateways:
►Research News
Here you will find news releases about scientific findings. The stories
are based on publications by faculty in peer-reviewed academic journals
or on a researcher's presentation at a professional academic
conference. Also appearing are announcements of major grants.
►Scientific Endeavors
Within this section are briefs, stories and features about the pursuit
of scientific knowledge at the University of Oregon. Topic may center
on individual faculty members, the progress of their work, activity of
graduate students involved in research and on research areas, such as
centers and institutes.
►Technology Transfer/Innovation
Read about the University of Oregon's progress in meeting its
objectives to transfer new knowledge and technology for the benefit of
the public. While the Office of Technology Transfer handles the
mechanics of creating spinoffs and patents, this section is a place to
find news about new developments, as well as background material on
university successes.
►Science/Research Blog

The University of Oregon is one of two institutions of higher education in the Northwest that belong to the Association of American Universities. The AAU is devoted to a strong system of academic research and education. It encompasses 60 public and private institutions in the U.S. and two in Canada.
