Marian Smith

Practice Areas: Music and Dance History, Ballet

Marian Smith is an academic expert in music and dance history and ballet. At the University of Oregon, she is a professor of music. Marian is interested in the historical performance of ballet, 19th-century ballet classics, Tchaikovsky ballets, opera and the history of music. Frequently interviewed by dance critics, Marian has published two books as well as articles in both music and dance journals.
