Parisa Hosseinzade

Assistant Professor, Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact
Practice Areas: Computational biochemistry

Hosseinzade is a computational biochemist working to develop new tools to enhance human life, especially through structure-guided rational protein/peptide design and the use of large data. She received an NIH New Innovator Award for her project,  “A data-driven approach towards generation of permeable peptide therapeutics.” In her lab, researchers work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to integrate experimental data and computational methods to discover new solutions. Hosseinzadeh worked a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington after receiving her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before coming to the UO.
