MEDIA ADVISORY: UO welcomes local high schoolers for National Biomechanics Day

What: April 3 is National Biomechanics Day. To celebrate, University of Oregon human physiologists will welcome 100 local high schoolers to engage in biomechanics-related activities. High schoolers will experiment with different biomechanics-related technologies. They will control a computer through gestures using the Myo armband, try out a VR demo and participate in a markerless motion capture TikTok challenge. The UO Department of Human Physiology is hosting the event in conjunction with the Student Academy to Inspire Learning (SAIL) program as part of a national Biomechanics Initiative.
When: Thursday, April 11 from 9:30 a.m.- Noon
