Alex Murray is an academic expert in entrepreneurship, venture finance, crowdfunding, distributed ledger technology, and decentralization. At the University of Oregon, he is an assistant professor of management in the Lundquist College of Business. Alex’s research addresses how new technologies impact the processes through which entrepreneurs and organizations mobilize resources, enroll stakeholders, and coordinate activities. Alex has analyzed how entrepreneurs use Internet-enabled crowdfunding campaigns to develop online communities, generate product feedback, and fund product development. He has also studied the ways in which humans interact with distributed ledgers, structured machine learning algorithms, and unstructured machine learning programs to achieve organizational objectives.
