Chris Murray is an academic expert in diversity and special education, high-risk youth and teacher-student relationships. At the University of Oregon, he is a professor and department chair for Special Education and Clinical Sciences and the co-director of the University Center for Excellence on Developmental Disabilities. Expelled from high school on his sixteenth birthday, Chris' main interest is working with very high-risk youth and students that have emotional and behavioral problems due to circumstances that they were raised in and trying to design educational programs and support systems that promote and help them achieve healthy outcomes.
