Luca Mazzucato is an academic expert in machine learning and computational neuroscience, though he was trained as a string theorist. Luca has studied how behavior and cognition arise from the complex interactions of neurons in our brain, how different mental states such as expectation and arousal shape sensory perceptions, focusing in particular on taste and vision, and what kind of neural circuitry is involved in learning and memory.
